Meet the team who keeps everything running!

These are the smiling faces that you see in the office each appointment. They are the backbone of our office and work hard to ensure that each patient has an enjoyable and informed visit to Reflections Dental Centre.

We look forward to greeting new patients and seeing them return year after year.

Lisa (Reception)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

Love working with people.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Graduated high school in Kelowna (1984), Okanagan Mission Secondary School.

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

Born and raised in Kelowna.

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

The fantastic patients.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

Beautiful scenery.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

Time with my family, walking, gym time, and yummy food.

7. Best dental advice for some one you have never met:

Visit a dentist on a regular basis for preventative care.

Kris (Reception)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

Age 16 – my dentist at the time told me he thought I would be great + would hire me.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Vancouver Community College (Certified Dental Assistant)

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

6 years.

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

Enjoying the people.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The outdoors and all the options for summer + winter.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

Traveling, skiing, enjoying the outdoors

Live, Love, Laugh.

Jane (Registered Dental Hygienist)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

Wanting to contribute to the betterment of patients overall health.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ont.

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

34 years.

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

Helping patients reach their oral health goals.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The weather – being able to play outside 365 days/year

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

Spending time with family, ie. camping, boating, playing soccer. Watching my kids play soccer & hockey.

Floss everyday 🙂

Linda (Registered Dental Hygienist)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

I enjoyed learning about dental hygiene in grade 7.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Camosun College in 1997

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

Moved here from Fort St. John in 2004.

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

Seeing unhealthy gum tissue become healthy

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The lake & the weather.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

Spending time with my family.

7. Best dental advice for some one you have never met:

I know dental fear is real, but many people have told me their dental treatment was not as bad as they feared.

Karen (Certified Dental Assistant)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

Love helping people, being an assistant allows me to keep busy with a variety of tasks each day which I enjoy

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Graduated from Okanagan University College Dental Assisting 1992 to 1993

56 years

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

What I enjoy best about my job is knowing that I’m helping our patients with their dental needs.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The Okanagan is a four season play ground, there is always an activity to do throughout the year. Boating, skiing, fishing etc.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

I enjoy my small hobby farm up in the Belgo area, gardening, horse back riding.

Maintain a nice smile. Your mouth is your gateway to being healthy.

Michelle (Certified Dental Assistant)

1. What made you choose dentistry?

I enjoy working to help people with improving & maintaining their oral health.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

Columbia College, Calgary, 2005

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

3 years.

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

I enjoy building relationships and maintaining good oral health.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The thing I enjoy the most about living in the Okanagan is fishing in beautiful lakes surrounded by beautiful forests and the environment.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

I enjoy spending time hiking, swimming, and fishing.

Please brush and floss, your mouth will love you for it.

Tara

1. What made you choose dentistry?

Growing up I had a wonderful dentist who surrounded himself with great people. My dental experiences were always pleasant for me. I am forever grateful that Dr Hill (senior) suggested the field of dental hygiene for me.

2. When and where did you graduate from?

In the mid nineties I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program. Then, in 2000, I graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program in Victoria, British Columbia.

3. How long have you lived in Kelowna?

I was fortunate to be born and raised in Kelowna. I moved to the Lower Mainland for a number of years early in my career, but I couldn’t wait to return to my home!!

4. What do you enjoy the best about your job?

The thing I enjoy most about my profession is being able to help patients lead healthier lives.

5. What do you enjoy best about living in the Okanagan?

The best thing about living in Kelowna is the opportunity to enjoy all four seasons! Everything from hot summers to cool winters – these allow me to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work time?

Outside of work you will find me spending time with my family (including our four-legged member!) We love to spend time outside doing an array of different sporting activities. If you can’t find me on the soccer pitch, I am playing ball, out for a run, skiing at Big White, or inside at the gym. A healthy lifestyle is so important to me.

7. Best dental advice for some one you have never met:

Proper oral hygiene is about more than just clean teeth – it is one of the best (& easiest) ways to help maintain good overall health!
